This time, I'll also intersperse some vintage stories, so it will be a bit long, but please take a look.

 

The base for the Age of Longing 407EXX, which is now available for pre-order, as you probably know, is the 40s LEVI'S 506XX.

The history of the 1st model is long, and according to the materials I have, the 506XX existed in 1904, so based on this information, it's a model that has been around for 120 years.

 

The 506XX first received its red tab, which is now standard, on July 1, 1937, at the suggestion of "Chris Lucia."

 

Time passed, and then came World War II...

 

During this era, when material control meant that design changes were unavoidable, LEVI'S also faced this problem.

 

The previous five-button design changed to four buttons, and the company-named buttons were replaced with laurel wreath buttons. The model that had its chest pocket flap removed was the "LEVI'S S506XX,"

popularly known as the "War Model," and JELADO released a leather jacket version called

 

 

the '44 Leather Jacket.' (Detailed information will be omitted this time.)

 

After the war, with material controls lifted, LEVI'S was in the process of returning to its original design when a new problem arose.

 

The factory had a large amount of fabric left over from the war models. While cost was likely a factor, they used up this remaining fabric before transitioning to new denim. This period marked a transition.

 

JELADO's Age of Longing 407EXX focuses on the LEVI'S 506XX from this transitional period,

 

 

it uses a dark denim fabric. It's a slubby fabric with a lot of nep.

 

 

With repeated wear, it will age and develop random vertical fading, like falling rain.

 

The 15oz thickness and dark hue of the 1st type 407EXX feature the following details:

 

・Single pocket on the left side only

・Single-sided red tab

 

・Narrow waistband (compared to 406XX)

・Pin-back cinch buckle

・15oz

 

On the back of the waistband, there is a cinch buckle (a "buckle") to adjust the size.
