The M-43 was newly developed and adopted in 1941 at the request of President Roosevelt in order to revamp young people's perception of the military and increase enlistment.

The previous uniforms were made of blue denim, but they were stiff and uncomfortable to wear.There were quite a few members of the team, so the herringbone twill (HBT) fabric was newly adopted.

Herringbone twill (herringbone twill) meansThis twill fabric was so named because it resembles the bones that are visible when a herring is filleted.

The M-43 was originally adopted as a uniform for training and chores.

However, the wool uniforms that had been used as combat clothing up until then were too heavy and unsuitable for use in tropical regions, so the M-43, made of lightweight cotton herringbone fabric, gradually began to be used as combat clothing as well.

The herringbone fabric of this JELADO was dyed with the same threne dye as the original, and we have striven to faithfully reproduce the texture of the original. The threne dye has low dye fastness and gradually fades with wear, so it is a garment that you can look forward to seeing change over time.

The buttons are made of black painted iron and laurel buttons, and these will also change over time as the black paint peels off.

This time, we have also specially produced a navy color that is not available in the original.

The navy color is of course dyed with sulfur dye, just like the olive color, so you can enjoy watching it change over time.

This time, we are also releasing baker pants that can be worn as a set, using the same herringbone fabric. Baker pants, especially the early models, are currently very popular on the vintage market, so if you are looking for a pair, please consider these.

Of course, we also offer navy baker pants.
