#8863 is made from #875 leather in Slate Mule Skinner, a roughout leather with a unique deep gray color.
Unlike most suede leathers, which are made by thinly slicing the brushed side of leather, roughout leather is made by using the grain side (the surface of the leather), which has the highest fiber density, on the inside and the brushed side on the outside. In other words, roughout leather is used inside out. It was originally used primarily for outdoor shoes.
These shoes are resistant to scratches and rain, and you can enjoy their unique texture and stylish colors.
