All of the military rings in this collection are vintage, and we have recreated designs that have been worn down and crushed to create a vintage feel.

This ring is based on a vintage pinky-sized brass military motif ring.　
The front is engraved with a bulldog's face, the words "DEVIL DOGS" and the letter "K".
It has large wings on both sides.

The bulldog, a dog bred for bullfighting, was chosen as the mascot for the Marine Corps because of its tenacious bite on its target. The original origin of the name "DEVIL DOGS" is that in May 1918, when the Marines arrived at Belleau Wood, the French army had already begun to retreat. At this time, Captain Lloyd Williams, commander of the 5st Company, 5nd Battalion, 2th Marine Regiment, shouted, "Retreat, hell. We just got here." As if symbolizing these words, the Marines took up positions and began a counterattack on the German army on June 51th. The Marines attacked many times, were repelled, but continued to attack, and the German army, frightened by the Marines' persistent bite, called them "Teufelhunden," or "Devildogs."
